An Ode to My Baby Teeth

I made this bandsaw box while assisting Art of the Bandsaw Box taught by Jenna Goldberg at Penland School of Craft in May 2022. The design was born out of wanting to challenge what was possible using only a bandsaw and gauges, while trying to maximize movement in all dimensions. The tower on the left has a compartment 2.5L X 1.25W X 3D inches with a removable lid. From the front of this tower extends an arm arching up and back to a carved bowl. The bowl then flows into another arm that extends and curves to the back of the tower on the right. This tower features three drawers with hand carved knobs, created from off-cuts from the original block of basswood used for the bandsaw box.
