The blade was forged by hand and with a power hammer. Six holes were punched and drifted on the blade and one on the tang, all adorned with stainless steel rings. A 19 inch chain was attached to the ring on the handle, hand-formed in sterling silver. The latch allows for the chain to be worn at various lengths.
